Here is some photographs that I took in the woods, hope you like it. Today I have spent some time on gardening and unfinished projects, sadly that meant I did not manage to post before now. My daughters great-grandmother had a birthday party today so I got late home for the evening post.
Stunning photos – I love all the lush green. I think the third photo is a favourite of mine, the lighting is really nice in it. Your photos are constantly astounding me!

These are some great shots of the moss. I especially love the one with the large rock in the middle. You captured it so it appears that the trees are radiating out.

Very cool looking. Also a fan of the second photo, but all of them are well done. Where is this forest at if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi George, it is in Bergen Norway Alvøen, and it is about 15 minute walk from the parking lot(at alvøen idrettspark) :-). Need to cross a fence where some sheeps have a small field and go down to the water, then you find a small path behind some large tree.

The second photo is also my favourite. It seems like as if a spotlight is focusing on the rock and branches of the small surrounding trees reach out to get a hold of this magical moment. I am sure, if you would have waited a bit longer, some trolls would have emerged from the moss. 😉

heh I am so glad I left in time, have you seen the norwegian comedy about trolls? They are quite scary…

No, I have not seen the comedy on trolls. Let me have a link! I know that troll are taken very seriously in Iceland and that roads there are build around rocks which are the home of trolls (though the rocks could easily be removed technically).

Beautiful – the lighting is superb – so difficult to get right, especially in a forest.

thank you so much Wendy, really glad you liked the forrest photos. 😀 They are a bit more chaotic than those I normally post due to all the shadows

I think it made it more dramatic to have the shadows. But all the photos you post are lovely!

Sometimes I like to lift the shadows to balance an image but in these it adds to the depth of the woodland, the wildness of the place 🙂

I like the arch and the bridge.

thank you Arlene, the bridge is kind of cool and you find these contraptions in most wood paths in bergen. I think it is DNT norwegian hiking organization which is covering the cost of these pathways(but not sure)

Great nature shots! And it’s cool to have other projects– unfinished or not.

that is true, finishing projects tends to take a lot of time due to we always start BIG projects. But it is nice to get some progress from time to time, gardening can be rewarding. 😛

😀 That sounds like a great idea! 🙂 Actually happens all the time… I’m planning to re-do my blog to make the protected posts on a different page, and the blog then will be free-ish for me to put something to talk about… 🙂
